Soar Throat

Salt Water Gargle
Dissolve ½ teaspoon of sea salt in a glass of warm water and gargle for 30 seconds. This can help reduce swelling, kill bacteria, and loosen mucus. Repeat a few times a day.
Oregano Oil
Mix 1–2 drops of oregano oil with a teaspoon of raw honey. Take it once or twice a day for soothing relief. Honey helps coat the throat, while oregano oil fights bacteria and viruses.
Oregano Oil & Mullein
Add the recommended dose of Mullein leaf extract (per bottle) and 1-2 drops of Oregano Oil to a small amount of water or juice and drink. You can do this 2 times a day for 5 days.The mullein helps clear the lungs and immune support while the oregano oil fights bacteria and viruses.
Hot Drinks Only
Ginger, Lemon & Honey Tea- 4 cups of water, medium knob of ginger (1 1/2 in.), half a lemon, 4 Tsp. of honey. Adjust as needed. This is a big batch so you can drink throughout the day!

Take a hot shower, after rub Vick's Vaporub on your chest, neck and behind your ears. Rest is the best medicine.

White Rice
White rice is a staple in many homes. When cooling your your cooked rice in the refrigerator will turn it into a resistance starch helping you to improve your blood sugar control.
Cooking white rice is easy but can be tricky. First thing you need to know is the size of your rice. This will determine the amount of water you will use.
The pot used to cook the rice matters but if you have a favorite pot you just have to be careful when you stir the rice at the end. The rice will usually cook dryer closer to the bottom of the pot, do not overturn the rice at the end so you don’t free up the overcooked rice at the bottom.
Ingredients
- 1 Tbs. of Oil
- Salt
- Water
- Rice

Water for 1 Cup of Rice
- Short Grain Rice = 1 Cup of Water
- Med.Grain Rice = 1 1/2 Cups of Water
- Long Grain Rice = 2 Cups of Water
Add water to the pot. Turn the heat to high setting, to start boiling. Add salt and a oil. Taste the water and adjust salt to taste, you should be able to taste the salt. Rinse your rice until the water runs clear. Once the water in boiling add the rice and give a good stir. Allow the rice and water to return to a boil. Once the water starts to reduce, give it another good stir, cover the pot and bring the temperature down to medium low. Leave the rice alone for 35 min. After 35 min. open the pot and stir the rice. Decide based on the look of the grain do you need to cover or uncover to cook for 10 more min. If it looks too wet leave it uncovered. Enjoy!
